When the liquid sample is directly added to the multi-strip reagent tape that has solidified different reagents, the corresponding chemical components in the urine cause color changes in the modules of the multi-strip reagent tape containing various special reagents. The depth of the color is directly proportional to the concentration of specific chemical components in the urine sample.
Place the multi-strip test tape in the colorimetric injection slot of the urine analyzer. Each module is successively illuminated by the instrument’s light source and generates different reflected light. After the instrument receives the light signals of different intensities, it converts them into corresponding electrical signals. Then, the microprocessor (CPU) calculates the reflectivity of each test item, and after comparing it with the standard curve, it is corrected to the measured value. Finally, the results are automatically printed out in a qualitative or semi-quantitative manner.
